The Planet Store is a huge project that covers so much ground that it’s tough to appreciate its scope when you’re too focused on the details.
That’s why I want to zoom out a little bit in a quick series of posts that provide a rough sketch of what it is, who might care about it, and what you can do with it in the short & long term.
For now, the quick version is this: its mission is to enable everyone to opt out of the MegaCorp social media hellscape by making it possible to own your own tools for building community.
